Well, my mom has finally agreed to get my student loan for me. On a good note, while adding up my medical bills and such, I don't owe nearly as much as I thought I did. It will still take some time for me to get my credit good again, but this is a start.

As soon as my check comes for my student loan, I can move. I've already contacted the apartment complex, so I'll prolly go look at one sometime next week. I can't wait!

As for AFO, things are looking much better. I might actually have a little bit of money to spend at this con! LOL.

I went to the thrift shop today looking for Tohru shoes, and ended up not only finding them, but the most perfect navy blue pleated skirt!!!! It is the perfect color as well as length and just everything! This makes me really happy, because the skirt was giving me a lot of trouble, so now I can concentrate on the shirt!!! yay!!!!

Friday- Asuka (yellow dress, cus it's comfy and I love it)
Saturday- Honda Tohru from FB
Sunday- Edward Elric

Still don't know what i'm going to do for the 80's party. Prolly just wear what i wore in elementary school- style wise. ya know, the shirts way too big so they fell off one shoulder, with 2 pairs of different colored socks layered and the neon curly shoelaces? Prolly go ahead and put the pink streaks in as well, for shits and giggles. I think i'll be going for an 80's dancer kinda look, I guess. I dunno, suggestions will be helpful, considering I was only alive for 5 years of the 80's and only remember 2 and a half... ya know being a baby and all????

I guess that's it, I feel like crap right now (cold I think) so I'm going to bed before 3 am...*shock* Night all....

Okay, just want to let everyone know that I'm doing a massive update to my c.com gallery right now since photobucket is being a royal bitch, so the metro con mini-shoots i did will be up, and i will edit this post to include those pics. Mostly from friday and saturday because sunday was just so stressfull being my first contest and all (and of course the latent fear that the seams would come apart on the asuka dress leaving me nekid but i didn't have one little hole..so i'm excited!) stay tuned for picies!! :D

I'm so exhausted but surprisingly still awake and kicking right now... probably because everything hurts too much to sleep.

My first costume contest experience was quite interesting. I knew I wasn't going to get anything due to the massive amounts of just incredible costumes being entered and me just having a simple Asuka, yellow dress version. But I am still very proud of it. I'm still excited I found that patern. Now I can't wait for AFO and being Sam's Sakura for her Tsubasa group. I'm currently trying to find scanlations of it so if anyone can point me in the right direction, it'd be greatly appreciated! XD!!!

So far my costume plans for AFO are as follows:

Lust (FMA, non pointy fingers version since i want to live and knowing my clumsiness, would probably stab myself...)
Edward Elric (rewearing for a cosplay skit)
Sakura (Tsubasa, made by Sam ... i wuff u sam!)

I'm thinking about a Bleach cosplay, now that I've gotten to see it, which would probably be worn the day of the cosplay when i'm not in Edward since even though it is one of my fav's and my first costume, there are just too many damn ed's and if you think Florida in June is hot, wait for August, i would ROAST. The flannel is so soft, but so stinking hot!!!!

I have the pictures I got this weekend uploaded onto my desktop currently, and I will be uploading them to cosplay lab and photobucket for posting probably tomorrow some time. I'm a little mad becuase the picture I got with Luci Christianson didn't turn out, it's blurry thanks to B pushing the button too hard. All of the pics with Vic turned out blury, but I knew they were already, again because B didn't listen to me about the camera. I'm so stealing that camera from him, he doesn't deserve it......

Today has not been good so far, except for getting my little R2-D2 nifty poster that Lyn picked up for me yesterday *huggles the Lyn* I'm really tired and I just want to go home and work on Ed. I got the shoes almost completely done, I just need to hit up walmart this afternoon and exchange the belt for a bigger one becuase I forgot to take into consideration the extra added thickness of the pleather belt holster thingy, and to get some clear laquer for the boots. Hopefully it's not raining this afternoon so I can spray them outside. The belt cover is almost done, just need to add the last couple of loops. Then it's back to working on the bias tape and the cloak.

I also found a much better (and simpler) pattern for the Yellow Asuka dress that will need NO altering, which is great. I'll have that for possibly Saturday night at Metro (crosses fingers) and will probably wear it on Sunday as well. Friday I will be doing cloakless Ed version to show off my kick ass underjacket, and for the costume contest and saturday i will wear the cloak. Not doing anything special for the FFBall. BJ wanted me to make us a Red Mage and a White Mage, but I really don't have time, not with being out of town for a week in Las Vegas and trying to move as well.

I guess that's it for now...

Well, I've found the pattern for my Yellow Asuka Sundress. I bought the shoes (pretty darn cheap too... yippee online goth stores!) now I just need to find the wig, make the plug clips, and make the dress. It will SO be ready for Jacon, I'm so excited!!!! :D

Wow this weekend was da shit! Friday I got to go see Robots with BJ, and we went to Olive Garden before that. Robots was pretty damn funny, but the best part was seeing both the Ep III and Willy Wonka trailers on the big screen. Johnny Depp scares me more than he used to now... wow...it was just creapy.....Another fun aspect was me trying to steal both the Ep III and Hitchhiker's movie posters off the wall... heeheeheee... I was desperate!!! Saturday kinda sucked because all I did was go to the grocery store and clean.... that's it.... nada nothing more..... Sunday was awesome. Went to the RenFaire with BJ and Lyn and met up with MK there. Took a bunch of pics of her black dress and some more of Lyn as Jareth. I went as a makeshift Sarah (we came up with the idea right before work got out on Friday) but the wig had to come off half way through the day cus it kept sliding. Saw the Jester, Axel the Sot (twice, first naughty naughty pub show then the even naughtier pub show) and then the Washer Wenches (so fucking funny). Ate soup in a bread bowl and then had some lady tell me that it had worms in it.... I had to let her know that that was part of the soup... and it wasn't worms, it was grain of some sort.... worms... sheesh.....Saw a bunch of stuff I wanted to get, but can't afford. Good thing my birthday is next week!!! I love having my birthday around renfest!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Met back up with Lyn and MK before the Queen's Tea (which was awesome, the crossionts(Sp?) with the cream cheese and cuccumbers were really good). Entertainment was great, including BJ throwing his credit card at me during the Wooing contest. Hey, at least it won us 2nd place, we were only upstaged by the guy who Wooed his mother. Left shortly after that and that's when I realised that I was sunburned (really sunburned) from the nose up...... owwwwwwieeeeesssssss.................

Wow, I must say I had a lot of fun at my first convention. I was really lucky and found 2, yes, 2, seaQuest figures, including one of Lucas Wolenczak!!!! Go me!! Well, actually go Lyn too cus she found the Lucas one on Saturday and told me about it and I just happened to run across it on sunday. And my luck would prevail that they were only 5 bucks a piece!!! w00t! Plus, after I paid the guy I told him that Jonathan Brandis had committed suicide 2 years ago and his jaw dropped. He realised he probably could have sold it for much more. *does a little dance* Lyn said she had seen a Darwin figure, but we couldn't find it. I'll keep an eye out on ebay. I got a few compliments on my *casual* hogwarts look for sunday, also known as my lazy butt wanted to wear jeans and sandals and didn't want to worry about pantyhose and stupid skirt that says its one size and fits like something a million times smaller!!! Grumble..... Met a lot of cool people (Hi Sam, Becky, Vickie and Rain!) AND figured out what I'm going to make for MegaCon- LENORE!!!!! HAHAHAHAH!!! If you haven't seen Roman Dirge's cartoon Lenore the Cute Little Dead Girl you need to, it's some funny shit. I'll link it when I get home cus it's really hard to find now. It will be an easy dress to make, I'll be able to hand stitch most of it since well... my sewing machine doesn't work! I might be able to borrow one though, so that will shave hours off the time. My one issue is going to be the wig, but I just need to experiment. I'm going to make the barrets from scratch so that's going to be interesting. I'll try to post a picture of Lenore later. Well... better get back to work- bad me.
